From 18 to 20 September 2026, Girona, on Spain's Costa Brava, will host the 10th edition of Sea Otter Europe, one of the continent's leading cycling festivals. Based around the Fontajau Municipal Pavilion, the event brings together cycling enthusiasts, industry professionals and leading brands from across the world. Established in 2017 as the European counterpart to the Sea Otter Classic, which has been held in California since 1991, the festival combines a major exhibition with a packed programme of races, rides and activities covering road, gravel, mountain biking, e-bikes and urban mobility.
The Numbers Behind Its Success
Alongside its extensive exhibition area, Sea Otter Europe offers a rich sporting programme featuring international competitions, amateur events, youth races and recreational activities. One of its signature attractions is the Demobike area, where visitors can test bicycles free of charge on dedicated routes around Girona. The 2025 edition welcomed 74,000 visitors from 114 countries, featured 507 brands, 301 exhibitors, and attracted 6,124 participants across its sporting events, spread over a 44,000-square-metre exhibition area.
