Roc d'Azur: Dates & Programme

From 7 to 11 October 2026, Fréjus and the surrounding area will host the 42nd edition of Roc d'Azur, an event that has grown from a mountain bike race with just seven participants in 1984 into one of the world's largest outdoor cycling festivals. Its unique concept combines competitive racing, guided rides and a vast exhibition village dedicated to mountain biking and outdoor sports. The event is centred around the Base Nature François Léotard, while also extending to Roquebrune-sur-Argens and Saint-Raphaël. Over five days, Roc d'Azur is expected to welcome more than 20,000 participants, around 300 exhibitors, and close to 100,000 visitors, with activities designed for elite riders, amateurs, families and children alike.

A Paradise for Off-Road Enthusiasts

The courses are at the heart of Roc d'Azur, winding through the Maures and Estérel mountain ranges, combining Mediterranean coastline, rolling hills and the rugged landscapes of the Var region. The programme features mountain bike, e-bike, gravel and road cycling races and rides across a wide range of distances and difficulty levels—from family-friendly events of just 8 kilometres to the 100-kilometre Roc Marathon, the 143-kilometre gravel challenge, and the 179-kilometre road event. The festival also includes enduro racing, trail running and hiking, while the exhibition village offers product displays, test rides, demonstrations and introductory activities for riders of all ages and abilities.
