Il Lombardia: Date and Schedule

The 2026 Il Lombardia brings the curtain down on another season of top-level professional cycling. Taking place on Saturday, 10 October, it is traditionally the final Monument Classic of the year – one last opportunity to watch the biggest names in the sport battle it out on the roads of Lombardy. This year’s race starts from Bergamo at 10:45 am, with the start village and sign-on podium located between Largo Gavazzeni and the Sentierone. The finish will be on the Como lakefront at around 5 pm, after 239 km of intense racing.

Il Lombardia has held a unique place in cycling history for well over a century. 2026 marks its 120th edition, with the first race dating all the way back to 1905 and only a couple of editions missed during the Second World War. Over the decades, the route has changed many times, taking the race through different cities and landscapes across Lombardy, but for the past twelve years or so Bergamo and Como have been its two main reference points. And for the last five editions, the winner has been someone we know very well: Tadej Pogačar. Five consecutive victories have taken the Slovenian level with Fausto Coppi’s all-time record.

For several years, DMT has proudly supported the major Italian Classics organised by RCS Sport as an Official Sponsor, including Il Lombardia. In 2026, we will once again be there for the final Monument of the season. The DMT truck will be waiting for fans at the start village in Bergamo, between Largo Gavazzeni and the Sentierone, showcasing the latest shoe models launched this year. Visitors will have the opportunity to see them up close, get their hands on the latest products and discover the DMT world before the world’s best riders set off for Como.
